I am really high risk for skin cancer and want to invest in a good quality bathing suit, but I want one that’s fuller coverage. Years ago I got ads for “modest” swimwear that had the coverage I wanted. But now there seems to be a lot of SHEIN/temu type ads. I want to make sure the suit has actual SPF protection so I’m willing to pay for it.
Any brand recommendations? |
| If you are in their size range, Lands End have many options. |
|
It’s a regular swimsuit so not a rashguard but I like the Speedo “ conservative cut”.
If you want sun coverage you might want to do swim shorts with a long sleeve rash guard. |
| Birkini? |

Should have lots of options here:

| Lands end, target, ll bean all have long sleeved swimsuits and swim shorts at least. LL Bean also has swim tights if you want more coverage. |

Why not some swim capris with a tee shirt?

| Do you want to actually swim? It doesn’t seem possible in those swim capris ^^ |
| A rash guard and a big hat. I find my legs are okay with just SPF for swimming as long as I’m not sitting out in the sun. |
| I just use a rash guard. I like Lands End. |
| I wear rashguards from athleta and swim shorts. |

I have a sun allergy. I get long sleeve UPF 50+ swimsuits from Amazon. They’re inexpensive and work well. Like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Daci-Surfing-Swimsuit-Bathing-Black-3/dp/B085F1L7ZB/ If you don’t want to mess around with one pieces, just get a long sleeve rash guard. |
| I like long sleeve rash guards from either coolibar or cabana life. I pair them with swim bottoms and a bikini top, but I think brands increasingly offer long sleeve one pieces now. So much easier than slathering on sunscreen |
| I bought a Jantzen brand one piece (label says SPF 50) on vacation in the Caribbean. I wore a hat, sunblock, sunglasses and didn’t so much as get tan lines this trip. |
| Pro-tip: Coolibar gives coupons to Dermatologists to give to patients. I alway ask for coupons when I go for a skin check. |
