Bottoms - Hilarious!

I loved this movie! So clever, with excellent acting and great pacing.

If you liked Superbad and Booksmart, you’ll like this one.

Is this the gay movie? No thanks.

I loved it, too

There's a sort of companion movie that's just out now - Drive Away Dolls. About two lesbian friends who have a road trip go wrong. It's a very horny movie! Unfortunately I saw it with my 80 year old parents, not realizing how horny a movie it is. But if you like lesbian raunch comedy, you might like it. (My parents liked it. So did I. I just wish I hadn't seen it WITH them.)

Saw drive away dolls last night. I couldn’t stand Margaret qualley’s voice. I get she was supposed to be an over the top caricature of a southerner (like the over the top Minnesota accents the coen brothers had in Fargo) but I couldn’t stand her. I loved the other two actresses.

I am the PP - and I hear you! I didn't mind her accent - it just felt like the usual Coen Bro(s) campy accent stuff.

I DID enjoy the movie but [spoiler below]

******

I don't see the two main characters being sustainable in a relationship! I enjoyed both characters - but I got no chemistry between them. And even on the terms of the plot/characters, one is insatiably horny, needing variety and quantity, while the other can go a loooong time without s** and only wants it with one person. I feel like a year from now we're going to see one or both of them in the DCUM Relationships forum!

That said I still did enjoy the movie. I saw someone on Reddit describe it as a high budget student film - and it had some of the energy, but in a fun way.
