WSSC Billing - how often?

Can anyone explain to me how WSSC bills for water and sewage?

Why do the bills come at irregular intervals? Why don't they just bill monthly? Or every 90 days? I'm looking over past bills and they come in weird intervals... 2 months, then three months, then once a month...

It’s quarterly.

I have lived in my house for 20 years and the WSSC bill always arrives quarterly.

It's quarterly but with a decent amount of variation - like 85-100 days.

I never understand why ours is so high. We've checked for leaks and still seem to use a crazy amount of water. We have a second home and never use anywhere that amount of water there.

How is that quarterly?

All right, I looked more into it. It looks like the 1-02-24 bill was sent in error after only two months instead of three. They charged me, I paid it at the time, and then a bill was recomputed for the correct time frame which was after 3 months. May, August, November and February bills would be quarterly.
