Uber to resort Cancún?

| We haven’t been to Cancun in awhile. Is it safe to taxi or Uber from airport to resort? It’s 10 min away but I think the shuttle the resort sends is $100+. Thanks |

It was around $30 and they were very responsive. Or when you land there are counters that can help you arrange transportation before you leave the airport into the craziness of people trying to offer you a ride. > |

Perfectly safe despite the State Dept. travel warning to go to Cancun, but be aware of your surroundings, etc.

We used Travicons, they were fine. I think Happy Shuttle was a little cheaper but they were sold out on our date. |

| I was just in Cancun two weeks ago with girlfriends, and I used Uber everywhere including later at night. No issues at all, and I felt very safe. I don’t know if Uber is allowed to pick up at the airport though. USA transfers did our pickup for a reasonable price ($80 round trip for 3 people). Only issue was a bit of a wait for them at the airport. |

| To all those saying how unsafe Cancún is: the resorts are perfectly safe. Cancún is violent, however violence against Americans is extremely rare (despite the fear mongering), you have a MUCH higher chance of being murdered in Baltimore or DC than Cancún. Set up a transfer to your resort in advance and you’ll be fine |
