Accent wall in bedroom

I want to do a DIY accent wall in a room painted in SW Drift of Mist. Considering vertical wood slats or peel & stick wallpaper with vertical stripe or burlap texture (to avoid challenges with pattern matching). We don't mind paying a bit more for quality materials but would like something easy to install and hard to mess up. Any ideas? What is "in" right now?

Do what you like OP. Its your house and if you want an accent wall. go for it. It does not matter what anyone else thinks. What matters is if it makes you happy.

I did an accent wall in the living room when many on here said no. I am happy now. If it makes me unhappy later, its cheap enough to fix. It's just one wall.

Paint color choices are subjective. Same with accent walls and what kinds.

Me personally, I like the vertical slats but if we were to sell and it goes out of trend, may be a pain. If I was to go your route, I would just put a chair rail and do the peel and stick.

I have been debating this for my formal living room. I want to do an accent wall with zig zag slats in gold but not sure what furniture would match. The dining nearby has chair rails and I plan on 2 colors there above and below but living doesn't have the chair rails so I'm not sure whether one color would be enough or if I need an accent wall matching the dining.

You asked what was "in" and what you described sounds like all the instagram and Facebook reels that show up in my fed now that I've bought a new house.

Just Google "modern farmhouse bedroom accent wall" and you'll see all this faux wood panelling, dark moody accent walls, and stick on battery operated LED sconces. That's what is in right now.
