Return policy @ Uniqlo

Anonymous
15 yo made online purchase.
The items did not fit so bought next size up (also purchased online)

Dc went to Uniqlo store to return the first purchase.
Was told store credit only.
Despite having proof of purchase.

Anyone experience this?

Could it have been misinformed staff?

Did you check Uniqlo website before posting here?

They have strict return policies for online purchases.

You are lucky to get store credit. Usually they said online purchases can’t be returned to the store.

“ If paid with Credit Card / Debit Card / Klarna / Paypal / Apple Pay payment options Returns can ONLY be accepted at our warehouse via mail with our Prepaid Return Label. We cannot issue refunds/returns for these online orders at the stores.”

Seems clear, I don’t get your issue.

+1. I was told no online purchases could be returned to the store. I was surprised and annoyed to hear it as the website seems to really push the free shipping to the store without noting the return policy.

Not OP. Yes, this is clear, and it's also bullshit.

Their offerings are not so special that I am willing to put up with this degree of headache. I'll buy floppy fast fashion elsewhere. Bye, Uniqlo!

Serious question, why? Isn’t it much easier to mail it back than to bring it to a store?
