We've never done an all inclusive vacation before and we've never stayed in one place for a whole week....but this year, we are hoping to turn of our brains, not plan tons of adventures, and just sit at a beautiful beach. We will be traveling in April, and here are our requirements/family dynamics:
--we have one 7 year old kid, so we're hoping for a kids camp for her. --we want beautiful white sand and turquoise water --we accept that all inclusive food may not be amazing, but we're hoping for decent with some variety. We are not picky eaters. --we are in DC, and fine with one (or zero) layovers from any of the local airports --we were thinking 8K-12K for 6 or 7 nights. Is that reasonable? --would love good snorkeling, but not mandatory. I'm overwhelmed by the number of options and hoping to hear some stories of places you've loved. Mexico, DR, BVI? Where should we go? |
Half Moon Resort in Jamaica has an amazing kids club for that age! You can pay more for a dining plan, which I recommend. Guana Island in the BVI looks lovely, but I've only passed by on a boat. It might be more than your budget though.
We did beaches in Turks. My kids loved the kids club. Beautiful beach. Food was average.
Iberostar in Riviera Maya - it's a complex of 5 resorts, so you can pick one to your budget. We've been several times when the kids were young and had a great time every time.
Curtain Bluff Antigua could be a good option for you. Check their availability for April though-they might be booked up.
Hyatt Ziva in Cancun
Club Med in Cancun was very good.
