Stackable Washer broke, how to determine if new washer fits with existing dryer

As the title says, our stackable washing machine kicked the dust, so we've begun the process of finding a new one. You can buy the washer separately, but it's unclear how to determine if the washing machine can stack with the dryer, and I'd rather not replace the dryer if I don't have to. Is there an easy way to determine if a new washer can stack with an existing dryer?
