Class pass

Anyone doing class pass now? Or have recently? Curious what it’s like to drop in to classes. I am often hesitant at new things and I wonder if it’s weird to go to a new place that’s got an established membership group? Or do the trainers get frustrated to have new people come who will have to be “taught” what to do? Thanks

No issues at all at most gyms. Most of the franchise gyms have subscriptions that allow members to use one of several gyms, so, on any given day, 80-90% might be regulars and the other 10-20% might typically use a different location or be trying it out with class pass. So all the regulars are accustomed to seeing new faces every class.

Im a class regular and on any given day there are new faces and the instructors seem glad to see new faces. They may come around to correct form but they don’t ever seem frustrated.

I love Class Pass! I've used it for several years.

What level do you have?

I’ve been a regular at the same yoga studio for the last 10 years and I don’t know most of the people in class with me. There’s no in or out group. You should feel comfortable going into any gym. If they weren’t welcoming, how would they ever manage to attract people and stay open??

I have a 100 credit plan. I use it 5-6 times a week... sometimes even for a massage or cryo/red light therapy if I have extra credits left. I do Pilates several times a week, yoga and HITT classes.

Do you mostly stick to where you live or drive all over?

I join up in the dead of winter, as I normally run outside several times a week, and dial way back for the coldest, darkest 2-3 months of the year. I'm on the $20/month plan and keeping it for a discount on yoga at the studio I like.

It means I pay $10/class if I take the classes through ClassPass and about $20/month if I go through the studio on a multi-pack of classes.

I am going to yoga at a studio once a week, working out at home/at the gym, and still running outside 1-2 times a week.

Same. I've been going to the same yoga class for years, and there are some familiar faces, but lots of new ones all the time. The teacher and class are welcoming.

Where I live, but I can get to tons of places within 15 minutes. I can get to Tysons, Merrifield, Falls Church, Arlington, Bailey’s crossroad. A ton of options.
