suede, waxed canvas or leather tote for travel

I'm looking for a good-looking travel tote bag that will fit under an airplane seat standing upright. Preferably, the bag would have a zip-top. I'm not looking for a Neverfull; I have one that was a gift and I never use it -- just not my style. What I have in mind is something more like a Bean boat bag, but a bit spiffier. Thanks for any suggestions you might have!

For me, I would go with nylon because weight matters more than anything when I’m traveling for a bag without wheels. Tumi or whatever.

I just got a Paravel cabana tote as a gift and it's a really nice size and reminds me of my Boat & Totes, but a little fancier. I wasn't familiar with the brand and I haven't taken it on a plane yet, but was happy with it on a road trip recently.

(I also love the zip-top Boat and Tote though...)
