I can’t get my 15 year old (ASD/ADHD) kid to brush her teeth. I mean she brushes for 10 seconds and her teeth are yellow. Lucky for her she must have good genetics (not mine) because she’s never had a cavity, but I’m still worried about her long term oral health and she wears aligners at night that will exacerbate the issue.
I have seen an electric toothbrush with an app that has a really clear visual that as you brush shows the areas you’ve covered, but I can’t find it on line through searching. I thought here might be a good place to ask since I’m sure others have this issue. |
I got one and its pretty worthless. |
The one I saw had a really good visual, like with a mouth and when you brushed black stuff came off the teeth. Does yours have that? The ones I’ve seen online seem pretty useless but I think the very clear visual would work for my kid. My neice had it and it worked really well for her but I can’t get her to text me back to tell me the brand. Haha. |
Is this too childish for her? My son liked it when he was younger. It was a catchy tune and the little creature makes funny faces.

It looks like Colgate Hum is another one, though I have no experience with it. |
Oral B iO electric toothbrush. The app syncs with it and shows you the areas you are brushing, have brushed, and missed. I think it is what you are thinking of. I have one that is a few years old, the app was pretty good. |
The app is not very good and you have to have the phone close by or it doesn't work. |
Pokémon smile (but my kid is 8)
