Using Avios on American Airlines

I would like to use Avois points for a reward ticket on AA. When I search on BA website, I do not see the flight I want on AA, although I see other AA flights. On the AA website, I see the flight I want and it shows award flights are available. How can I use my Avios points for those flights? This is for flights to Italy, if that matters.

Do I need to call BA?

Not all award flights are released to partners - what is released is very limited. If you can’t see it on the BA website, you can’t pay with Avios. Calling won’t help.
