DH Birthday ideas - family activities (adults and kids)

Hello all:

DH has a birthday in a few days. We have 3 kids - 15/12/8. He told me he wants to do something together as a family. Looking for all suggestions:

- movies (not his first preference but I’m throwing it out there)

- board game activities

Looking for more ideas. Something outdoors would be fine, as well. We live in MoCo.

Obviously depends what your DH likes but throwing everything out there -

Bowling, zoo, indoor rock climbing, laser tag place, ice skating, check on Ticketmaster to see if there are any fun shows concerts or sporting events that day, comedy club or improv (many have PG kid friendly events earlier evening), top golf, experience-based or themed dinner you haven’t done before, airsoft, escape room, wine or brewery tour (verify that kids are welcome), a “tourist” themed tour if available, ice skating, skiing/snowboarding, day trip somewhere

Baltimore Aquarium and then dinner at the inner harbor

There is a putt putt course on top of Tysons. You can make a reservation and they have one or two food trucks.

Escape room is fun. But, you probably need to take time to find one that would allow the 8 year old to really participate.
