| I find myself frustrated that AA does not offer this. They would easily be the airline that we always use do to their routes, but the effort of getting the kids organized each time we fly (a lot) with entertainment on their ipads is just too much. Does this factor for you? |

No
Seriously it cannot be that onerous to get the kids seated and on their iPads. If you fly so often this should take a minute. |
| Not in the slightest. Downloading a few shows/movies is just a standard thing on my travel to do list. |
|
How old are the kids? Mine have the apps they need and I ask them to download shows in advance on the tablet. It doesn't take much hands on from me.
I've been stuck too many times with a seat back screen that doesn't even work, so I'm not relying on that. |
| This doesn’t factor into my planning, but when we happen to be on a flight with the back of the seat screens, my kids feel like they won the jackpot. |
| yes 100%. i dont get why airlines would not install these in new aircraft. |
|
Seatback screens aren’t a factor in choosing an airline, but I do like them. I don’t have an iPad, so I much prefer watching TV/movies on seatback screen versus my phone.
I never fly AA, but am surprised they don’t have screens. I thought most airlines, save SW and Spirit had them. I’m on United mostly and other than regional jets, most of the planes have them. |
| I was on a flight with a screen but it didn't work. Nothing they could do. Same with busted seat. No expectations. Maybe there will be a working bathroom and maybe you'll get to your destination with all your stuff. That's about it |
| No never. Much prefer our own iPads and entertainment. |
Yes! My 5yo was so excited by this, compared to his tablet. And I liked watching a movie too. But it wouldn't factor into airline selection for me. Prices and flight times, direct flights etc matter more and I feel like there usually aren't a ton of comparable options. |
Because of weight, cost, and because many people.nowadays can watch on their tablets/phones. Every major US airline has an onboard streaming entertainment system- I have always been able to find something good to watch on my tablet. |
| I prefer when we get this, but I always assume that we won't have it even if it says we will on our initial reservation or check-in. I've been on too many 5+ hour flights with my four kids where the screens haven't worked, wifi isn't working, they changed the equipment at the last second and there were no screens, or the screens only worked for certain parts of the flight, to depend fully on the in-flight entertainment. We always come with tablets/switches/phones or other entertainment for all of us. |
| We fly all the time, I don't get what is so hard about getting an ipad prepared. We always do as even when we've had a screen, it is never a guarantee it will work. Sceeens have never been a factor in planning travel. |
| I was on a United flight on the 24th that only had four or so movies available. Three were Christmas movies, no other options. I wouldn’t rather had non seat back entertainment than terrible options. This was a four hour flight to the Caribbean. |
