Dutch wonderland vs sesame place?

My older children are staying with my parents for the week and I am planning some Fun things for my three year old son and myself to do...we were thinking of taking a day trip...any opinions regarding sesame place vs dutch wonderland? I am thinking of going up and spending the night and going to the park both days and have never been to either one.

Is your child likely to be frightened seeing huge Sesame Street characters lurching around? Then go Dutch Wonderland, which is really great for the younger children. Once they get to about age 9 or so, better to go to Sesame Place or Hershey for more "grown up" rides and experience.
