| Do you think this will make a big difference in property values for Alexandria? It would accelerate the buildout of the neighborhood and bring a lot of amenities to town. Del Ray is already expensive, but how far out could this make an impact for prices and desirability? |
| Idk. Did having it in Chinatown do much for those property values? |
| I would think it would drive down the prices in Potomac Yard/that side of Del Ray. Who wants to deal with that level of traffic when they're just trying to get home?! Del Ray itself (Mt. Vernon Ave & proximity) will remain popular and expensive. |
| They're building a ton in Alexandria but people are leaving the city, 2% each year. |
| I think Del Ray (around Mt. Vernon Ave) prices won’t change much - still in demand and expensive. Any increase that happens won’t be caused by this but I don’t see it being a major detraction, either. I think it will make existing and to be built rentals right near the Potomac Yard metro more in demand. Maybe increase the price of condos yet to be built (if any) closer by in Potomac Yard? But so hard to say with condos. |
| This is not a good thing for living in Alexandria |
| Suspect they'll go down. |

Don’t stadiums speed up gentrification?
Just look at the area around nats stadium. |
There's nothing left to gentrify. |
Um, you are mistaken. |
Look at the Glebe Road area with all of the shootings. |
| There will be a lot of parking decks |
| All the glory of Gallery Place now being transported to Alexandria. Sorry to anyone who lives there. |
How? They live in DC. Unless the SE quad is planning a move. Stop with the scare tactics. Seriously, how does this site manage to contain so many killjoys? |
S Capitol? |
