| DD (10) asked for a sticker maker. Anyone have one they’d recommend? Never heard of this before although there are some on Amazon. |
| Do you think she means one of those tiny printers or a full-on Cricut machine setup? |
| Those tiny receipt printers are very trendy right now. Kids are using them for making [highly pixelated] stickers. If that's what you think your kid means, there are hundreds++ on Amazon. |
Yes, that would be my guess. They come in thermal-print (receipt paper) versions and ink based color versions. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09K7LN9B9/ref=sspa_mw_detail_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWw https://www.amazon.com/HP-Sprocket-Portable-Photo-Printer/dp/B07GFP7H8C/ref=zg_m_bs_g_3109930011_sccl_6/138-3685507-2227648?psc=1 |
| I would also guess she wants one of those thermal print ones. But there are other types. Someone already mentioned cricut and there are others like that. There is also Xyron which are the cheapest sort of sticker makers that I know of. |
| Thank you! I’m trying to understand wth cricut is. I’ve seen them in Michaels but can it make stickers? |
Receipt paper got bad press for being full of BPA or some other hormone disrupter. It also fades so fast. Is this the same thing? |
Yes, they can be used to make stickers. You have to use the right software and a printer, plus the right kind of printable sticker paper. My DD’s sports coach makes them as rewards. I’m realizing now that between the work that has to be done on-screen, the printing, and the cutting involved in making stuff with a Cricut that even if that’s what your DD wants, it wouldn’t be very fun and tiny printer is the best option. |

I think this is the one she wants
