Does anyone have recommendations for where I can buy Indian wedding clothing, ready to wear that can be shipped to the USA in fast order?
I'm looking at Kalki, Aza, biba and G3 but don't know what else is out there thanks for any help! |
| Etsy! |
There is a store in Rockville - in the same shopping center as Silver Diner, World Market and Trader Joes off Rockville Pike. I don't know what it is called. |
I've hear detsy can be hit or miss - any specific shops you reccomend? |
| Depending on where you live, you might be able to borrow something from your buy nothing group. |
Ritu Kumar for lehengas and other ethnic wear. If you’re buying saris then Kanakavalli, Nalli Silks, Sundari Silks. |
There’s a pop-up shop in Montgomery Mall that’s selling Indian party wear, located next to the kids play area on the lower level. The clothes look somewhat better than the Indian shop in Federal Plaza next to Trader Joe’s. |

Price point?
I buy designer from India. But you can buy from Kynah - gorgeous stuff and some ready-to-ship: https://shopkynah.com/ |
| I don’t know what your budget is, but Sabyasachi has a store in NYC. |
| What about blouses? Can you get those off the rack or does it need to be fitted |
| Is there a reason you are shipping directly from India? I’d probably go with one of the shops in Edison or NY. You pay more, of course, but it feels more controllable. |
| Are you looking as a guest or the bride? The designer options mentioned here (Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi, etc) will be thousands of dollars so they may be better for bridal. |
That’s what I wear as a guest…. |
Not everyone wants to wear thousands of dollars as a guest? You need to widen your circle of friends if you don't know this. |
| You are Indian, right? You're not doing a CArey Bradshaw, wearing a lehenga? |
