Heated Floor and Tile Size (Schluter Ditra)

Anonymous
Schulter Ditra Heat, on their website says tile must be 2x2 or larger.

Is 1x3 tile possible?? It averages out to 2x2. Anyone with experience??

Honestly, the less grout the better. Go with a larger tile. It doesnt matter if it "averages out", its about how they lay over top of the heating mats.

I should clarify, the grout comment is more about cleaning. You will thank yourself when you have 20 grout lines to clean instead of 2000.

The tile size is about how it lays.
