Do you have surge suppressor that's protecting expensive equipment that's older than ten years? Maybe it's time for a replacement.
Don't necessarily go by the "protection" lights on the power tap saying everything is OK. Power strips with built in surge suppression only take so many hits over the years and then they start letting power spikes through as their circuitry and MOVs degrade. That ancient "protection" may no longer be doing the job, and you don't want to find an expensive computer system, TV or home theater system trashed because of it. |
