| I’ve just finished Britney’s book. In it, she dicusses her involuntary psych holds and rehab at the hands of her family/the conservatorship. She emphasizes her stress from childhood (alcoholic, mean father), traumatic break up & divorce, feared loss of her children. She mentions being on prozac, feeling depressed, behaving erratically and getting “weird” and finally being forced to take lithium. There seems to be things she leaves out. She never mentions any mental health diagnosis. Instead she seems to blame life events, especially press treatment and the conservatorship, under which she was stripped of her rights. Does anyone know if her diagnosis has ever been made public? Or if she has acknowledged it? Seems to me must be bipolar. I would certainly question anything diagnosed or done to her during the conservatorship but, based on social media posts, she still seems very erratic and unbalanced. I worry she may be taken advantage again as she does not have a good support system and had been through so much. |
| Why is she shirtless on the front cover? WTF |
|
She's bipolar.
She's not symptomatic enough to need a conservatorship at this time. She definitely needed one when she was at her worst. |
|
It's largely speculated to be bipolar, but no, she's never acknowledged it nor has it been leaked in any court filings.
I do wonder though how it would have manifested had she not been a celebrity. I know mental illness often shows up in the 20s anyway, but I also think that anyone would have been driven a little crazy by the way the media treated her, so this is not entirely her brain chemistry either IMO. |
| Does she take any accountability for her romantic track record? Specifically I’m thinking getting involved with married men, men with pregnant girlfriends, penniless men etc. From the excerpts I’ve seen she seems to play victim and blame everyone else. |
did you see her dancing with knives? she needs to be put back under conservatorship |
Using this logic, 50% of Renaissance fair attendees should also be placed under conservatorship. |
Prop knives https://nypost.com/2023/10/01/britney-spears-knife-dancing-saves-struggling-prop-shop/ |
| I feel so sad for her. I can’t imagine how I’d react if my children were taken away from me. I think her PPD triggered a deeper, latent mental illness. It’s hard to watch videos of her from her teens and 20s vs now. She seems completely devoid of life and spirit. |

Why is her life anyone's business?
Why does she feel the need to publish this book, to explain herself? If I were her I'd just move away somewhere. I'd get a restraining order against the world. |
At least one man who was married she did not know when she started seeing him. I don’t remember anything else being said. I am a NP |
She had little money because her dad used her as his personal bank. She made millions off of this book. She went through hell, I’m fine with her having a payday that daddy can’t steal for himself |
Yeah I feel like having two babies in quick succession definitely triggered something deeper in her. It’s also really tragic to see her trying to figure out social media and interacting with the world like a teen at 40 because of how much she was cut off from everything and forced to work during the conservatorship. I can totally understand why she doesn’t want to hand control of her image over to anyone else to manage though. Trust issues have got to be the least of it. I hope she’s eventually able to heal. |
Saw a summary on Reddit and the parts about her relationships is so sad.

Thanks for sharing the summary - that is sad. And sad she seems to believe the "I can't breathe without you" stuff, does it mean a lot to her to have someone say something like that to her.
I don't understand why she would pose like that on the front of her book. All the free Britney people, all the seriousness that went into fighting against the person's they made her be, and then she chooses to pose not only topless but somewhat seductively, ie it's not just a here I am baring it all! photo. |
