Code Distance Between Toilet and object in front of it

| Hi, We are replacing fixtures in our small old bathroom. We used to have 17 inches between toilet and bathtub. We will now have 20 inches between toilet and bathtub. I read that the code is 21 inches. Is this one inch excess we have a dealbreaker? |

| What you're really asking is "do they really enforce code where I live?" Not really possible for anyone here to answer. I'd ask someone who deals with your local code all the time. |
