What do you mean? There’s really nothing to maintain.

Very inexpensive.
From time to time you can pay a chimney sweep to clean all the gravel and check the mechanics. But, this is not necessary every year. It is easy to have a gas fireplace.

We have one in our family room. No maintenance and it’s so easy to use! Downside is that gas bill will go up if you use it frequently.

There’s the little layer of gravel at the bottom. We don’t have a chimney sweep do it but rather an HVAC company that also maintains gas fireplaces. Sometimes they rearrange the logs, too. It’s very cheap but we never turn off the pilot light so I feel badly about the wasted fossil fuels.

Ours is not set up the way. No maintenance needed at all.

We added one to our house a few years ago. Other than the initial install costs, there has been cost for maintenance.

No maintenance costs in past 10 years.
