How to calculate unweighted GPA

Can someone explain how to calculate unweighted high school GPA for FCPS? The transcript only shows weighted GPA. We moved from out of state where my kids got grades every semester even for a year long class.

For FCPS, my kids just get a grade at the end of the year for a year long class and at end of semester for a semester class. Is a year long class considered “1” class and semester “1/2” class? I guess I’m trying to figure out the denominator for calculating unweighted GPA?

Just convert all the final grades (semester or year long) and take the average.

A=4.0
A-=3.7
B+=3.3
B=3.0
