| 8 year old DS is size 1 for shoe size and height has been the same at 49 inches for almost 1.5 years. 4.5 year old DD is size 11.5 for shoe size and 42 inch tall . DD looks big and tall compared to DS. Does that mean she may end up taller than DS? Some website says girls grow faster than boys at early stage. Is that true? |
| I doubt it. I'm 5'10 and wear and 8. My husband is 6'4 and wears a 10.5. My kids are huge but average size feet. |
| Definitely not. My husband’s side of the family all have huge feet. My nieces are two inches shorter than I am but had bigger feet by the time they were 9. |
| Girls do grow faster in general and will be bigger when they are younger. Girls generally only grow an inch after they get their period and many are at their full height by 11 or 12. Boys are just starting to hit puberty and grow at that age. Look at any 6th grade class and you will see giant girls and smaller boys. Look at that same class in 8th grade and you will see the opposite. |

If your 8 yr old DS has not grown for 1.5 years, that would be concerning. Does he go to the pediatrician annually for a checkup?
Girls do grow faster and stop earlier, but that doesn't mean that boys around 8 ys of age stop growing for a year and half. Get that checked out. |
| No. I have huge feet and am average height. |
| I was a size 4 as a ten year old girl. I’m still a size 4. 5’2” |
| I think I’m general it’s true that taller people have longer feet, but not always true. I am 5’3” and size 8/8.5… same size of my 6’ sister in law 😊 |
| Its generally true that the taller you are the bigger the feet. |

Feet are not a predictor. DS at 13 went through spurt and grew 4 in now age 14 and 64 1/2 in and about same size feet as DD who grew 3 in at age 11 already and not yet 12 and is 62 in. But both have 7.5 size feet.

| 5’ 3” and I have size 9 feet. |
Is you son 64.5 inches or 6 feet 4.5 inches? |
Nope. I have a female friend who is barely 5’1” and has size 9.5 shoes. And another who is 5’9” with size 7. Im guessing you have a kid with big feet but you and your partner are not crazy tall. No one knows. Your kid could end up anywhere on the spectrum. |
