I keep reading that many workers, particularly younger ones, have side hustles. I’m wondering how prevalent this is and how much people make. Is it worth it to spend your free time doing more work? Any thoughts or experience with this? Are internet side hustles lucrative? |
My internet side hustle pays me $65 an hour. I like it because it is super easy and I can pretty much take on as much or as little work as I like. And my regular job ebbs and flows a bit as far as workload goes. |
I have a part time side hustle but it doesn't pay anywhere near $65/hr, more like $20. Anyway, it is worth it to me because it's remote so there's no public interaction, and I can work on it anytime, anywhere. I usually listen to podcasts during, which I would be doing anyway so it's nice to get paid on top of that. |
Where can we find these side hustles? Where to look? |
Can you say what you do on the internet? |
I would refinish old furniture, babysit a child, watch a dog, or work lunches in a restaurant.
What I really do is I grow small amounts in the market. |
Some months I make more at my side hustle now than my regular job. I established a relationship/contract with a small recruiting firm in my pretty nice line of work. They send me their job descriptions, I text my network, connect interested candidates to the firm and if they get hired, I get a commission. Last month was my highest at $11k, but I usually average $8k a month. Been doing this for 5 years. |

I’m a live seller on an app. I can make a few hundred bucks in a hour show.
I do sales calls in my day job, too. Find something that plays off your existing skills and what you like. Selling would be hard if I wasn’t already trained and seasoned in how to do it. |
I make about $20k/yr profit reselling on postmark for about 3 hours per week of work. |
That should say poshmark. |
I charge $85 per hour giving private golf lessons and I teach 10 hours a week. I clear about 40K per year and don't have to pay taxes because it is cash only. |
That's not how the law works my friend. |
Substitute teachers pay $100-$200 a day, depending on where you’re located |
How does the government know if this is a cash transaction? |
