teaching at Eastern High School, DC

Anonymous
wondering if anyone here teaches, or knows someone who teaches, at Eastern HS in Capitol Hill, DC? am interested to know what that’s like. I’ve taught in another NE DCPS HS.

I have not taught at Eastern but I have visited the school many times as I work in Central.
It is what you would expect from a low/moderate performing school. For me personally, I would rather teach at Eastern than Woodson, Dunbar, Ballou, Cardozo, Anacostia, CHEC, and Roosevelt. Although if I’m being perfectly honest, I could only teach at Walls, Banneker or Jackson Reed

Jeez. Explains a whole lot is if Eastern is "moderate" from the perspective of Central.

Where else did you teach and what was your experience there? I personally wouldn't teach at Eastern, but I'm also exhausted and have no desire to teach anywhere.
