Jackson Reed Summer Reading rising 9th grader?

Anonymous
I've been looking over the Jackson Reed website to try and find out if there is a summer reading assignment for rising 9th graders. The only thing I could find is https://www.wilsonhs.org/m/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=266552&type=d which lists 2 other assignments but no reading.

I called the front office today and they directed me to the class page https://www.wilsonhs.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=520967&type=d but it doesn't have assignment info.

Does anyone know if there is summer reading? (my kid is a slower reader and I want to give him time to complete it.) Any past parents - was there an assignment in previous years? We're coming from Deal where there was reading assigned every summer. Thanks for any help you can give.

I have rising 10th and 12th graders, and I don’t remember any summer reading, just math.

Parent of rising junior: in the past, their have been "optional" summer ELA assignments and mandatory math assignments.

How about a critical, nuanced biography of Woodrow Wilson?

We only heard about the optional math homework and in a roundabout way. She's almost done with it. I have been begging her to read, but we'll see.
