I’m hoping to find a camellia that is dwarf and that has more willowy leaves and subtler flowers. For a part shade spot in a small garden.
Which local nursery might have the best selection to find me this unicorn? Thanks! |
| You'll have to find a cultivar that will make you happy, and then call around to see if anyone carries it or can order it for you. Your best bet with specific requirements like this, is to order online. |

Order them online, there are a few growers in NC that will come up on a google search.
Make sure whatever you get is hardy here. It would be a bummer to grow it for 15 years and then have it die in a cold winter. There is a big collection of camellias at the arboretum, that is a good place to scope for varieties you like too. |
| Thank you! That makes sense. Will check out the arboretum. |
| Pay a visit to Norfolk Botanic Garden, if you can. It has a large collection of camellias. You may also check at Merrifield GC. |
