What is the actual net worth/demography of the average DCUM poster?

Jeff, do you have any sort of demographic data about DCUM dwellers? This board seems to skew wealthy -- extremely wealthy. Why do you think this is? Or, do you think people are fibbing a bit?

It's really impossible to know but Quantcast has some statistics showing that 32% of our users have household incomes greater than $150K annually. Another 21% have HHIs between $100k and 150k. I posted this article recently, though it's old now:

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/if-youre-reading-this-you-have-a-193-chance-of-being-rich-2017-07-20

That shows that DCUM has the third wealthiest audience of all websites. Back then, only 23% of our users earned more than $150k, so we've gotten wealthier since then.

My theory is that they track users by cookies across websites. They are able to identify some users through websites that require registration. Then, they match those identities to information that is gathered from off-line sources, maybe even including credit reports. I know that Facebook does that sort of thing (though I don't know about credit reports). This way that get a statistical sample of our users and draw conclusions.
