Home Child by Liz Berry

Has anyone read this? Its new, a novel in verse about the author's great-aunt who was one of 100,000 children sent from the UK to Canada between 1860-1960. She went to Cape Breton and never saw her older brothers again, didn't have a family of her own. It's a wonderful, gorgeous and heart-rending book. I had no idea about that history (I am from the UK originally).

apparently 1 in 10 Canadians is born of a UK displaced child.
