Does anybody have T-Mobile 5G Home Internet?

Anonymous
Cable is getting too expensive, so I am thinking about other options. I can get T-Mobile 5G Home Internet for $50 per month, and I am wondering if anybody here has tried it.

Is it fast enough for streaming? Is it reliable?

Any good or bad surprises?

Thank you!

Latency will be worse than wired options, so this would be a bad choice for online gaming. It might or might not be fine for streaming--depends upon the protocol in use, your location, and the service itself.

Those are exactly the right questions PP! Does anybody have experience with T-Mobile that can offer any insight?

Quality will vary greatly depending on your location much as cellular service varies greatly with location. And it could work well to start then get worse as more users share the same data stream coming from the same cellular base station tower. At the moment T-Mobile is offering a "15-day test drive" -- try it and money back if not satisfied. I'd try it and stress-test it and be prepared to return it if you have problems.

It's fast and reliable though I do get some variation in speed depending on time of day.
