| Anyone have any experience with two or more of these and have a preference? Looking for reliability/ value for the money. |
|
we've had an Odyssey for 10 years, and it's been pretty good. If I needed a new one right now, I'd probably get the Sienna, because now all Siennas are hybrids, and I think Toyota may have edged out Honda in quality and reliability.
There's a Pacifica plug-in hybird, and that looks nice, but I'd sleep just a little better with the Toyota reliability. |

Toyota has long "edged out" everyone in reliability. Get the Sienna.
Though to be fair Honda makes fine cars. |
| We absolutely love our new Sienna. And Toyota does a very reasonable full maintenance (everything, including oil changes) package for 5 years at any Toyota location (2 years free with purchase of the vehicleif you don't get the extended package). |
| Very helpful about the Sienna |
| I started with an Odyssey in 2011 and am now in a Sienna. Long story short, I had a terrible time with the electrical system in my Odyssey that Honda refused to deal with. Ended up trading it for a Sienna, which I absolutely love. I'm on my second Sienna now. This one is hybrid and actually gets great gas mileage! |

We have an Odyssey that we love. But I feel we would have been just as happy with a Sienna. No issues at all.
The Pacifica won't last as long, so it depends if you want it to retain it's value. |
I would actually like to hear more of this story about your Odyssey electrical system. Are you saying that replacing a broken alternator was just the start of problems, rather than the solution? |

Sienna. Never a Chrysler
- Another odyssey owner. |
| Get the Pacifica PHEV. |
| For the Sienna owners, any regrets with the capacity since the 2nd row seats can't be removed? |
|
Its no Toyota or Honda but we do have an 11 yo Chrysler minivan. The big, huge pro for them is def the fold in floor seats. We use it all the time.
Has is had issues? Yes but its still going with about 200K on it. Sienna is the smart play though. |
Nope. The third row seats can be removed, plus the middle row can flip down |
| I have a 16 year old Odyssey that’s been great. I would love to explore all the minivan options out there, but my garage doors are very narrow and all minivan models are very slightly wider than they were 16 years ago. The new Odysseys are the most narrow, so I will probably get another Odyssey, unless there are any minivans out there that have a feature that would allow me to tuck in my side view mirrors with the push of a button. |
The Pacific does offer that feature |
