Lottery Seer for 2023?

Anonymous
I've really enjoyed reading the lottery seer predictions from previous years so figured i would call on the Seer again to gather in all my fellow parents feeling anxious after yesterday's deadline.

PK3 In-bound Takoma

1. Breakthrough Montessori
2. Sela PCS
3. Takoma DCPS

May the odds be ever in your favor!

It's Swami. She/He/They haven't appeared for a few years now sadly. Their take was always highly entertaining.

I miss them. Swami threads were my favorite thing about DCUM.

You should be a lock for Sela.

You'll very likely be at Sela, but you're at least guaranteed Takoma.

People explained how Swami was an offensive term to be using in this context and the person basically stopped after that. Guess they were attached to the name.

No. They agreed to use the term “seer” but there were still pages and pages of fighting over the term. This is why we can’t have nice things.

I think Breakthrough is a pretty good shot. It was our #2 and we matched. We're there for PK3 now and not returning. But if not Breakthrough, definitely Sela.

Why are you not returning?

Ugh, totally. Swami was hysterical. And also my favorite thing about DCUM.

This is concerning. Why are you choosing not to return for PreK4?

I also wonder if the seer started when her kids were little, and dropped off when her kids outgrew the early childhood drama. It’s hard to keep all that in your head when your kids have moved on!

This. It was entertaining because the Seer was so knowledgeable and her snark had the ring of truth. Without that, it wouldn't be good.
