I actually had GREAT luck with nordstrom.com. I had a few weddings to attend and found plenty of dresses for under $100. I got a nice one that will be my go-to dress for formal occasions for about $140; it's probably on sale now. Nordstrom is also good about carrying larger sizes; I am a size 14 too.
