A Long Summer Day Camp in Bethesda

Does anyone know how secure the swimming program is? See post above re YMCA pool to get a sense for my concerns. I've seen the counselors and they seem great, but I do wonder about letting my son swim...he's not very strong in the water. We've had skads of lessons for years but he just resists...

I went a lot with my two kids. It is very crowded and we tended to leave when the campers arrived. I'd have some reservations about trusting the lifeguards/counselors to keep your child afloat amidst the chaos. That said, much of the pool is 2-3 feet deep. Last summer, I came to trust my then 4 yearold to venture off (within eye sight of course) because she could touch the bottom.

The outdoor pool is heated year around, so you could go have a look and a trial swim anytime.
