Any public MS/HSs in US *without* rampant vaping/drugs?

Is this everywhere?

Addiction runs in our family and I’ll do anything to minimize my kid’s exposure to addictive substances.

Define rampant.

This is rampant at private schools as well. Drug use has been for decades.

At our local middle school, Robert Frost Elementary in Rockville MD, the students tell me that they can at least walk around without encountering it everywhere. Not sure if others experienced that too.

Look at the Blake/Sprinbrook/Paint Branch consortium…. They’re getting better as the W’s and RM get worse..

What is the HS? Any issues there?

The HS is Wootton HS

Drug and alcohol use was an issue when I was in high school 35 years ago, what makes you think things have changed? The big difference now is that the drugs are more potent and more deadly so there is far less room for experimentation.

NP. It’s really different. There were kids vaping IN my kid’s middle school classroom in public and DC wouldn’t even go in the bathrooms because of the open vaping. It is part of the reason we pulled my kid. I am sure there are kids who vape in private but it isn’t happening literally in the classrooms and openly in the bathrooms. The difference is significant.

The HS is Wootton HS

People should definitely move to Wootton cluster. It's under enrolled, though the building is falling apart.

TJ, but it’s a public magnet.

My kid is in private school and it is happening in bathrooms. Kids get suspended and expelled for it.
