My STEM focused DS finishes senior year early this Spring and needs a science-based internship. We need to find it ourselves and it is required by the school. This is for 20-30 hours per week for 10 weeks or perhaps more. Unpaid. Any thoughts?
If this is a mandatory internship, the school must have a network of employers they generally offer these types of positions. Otherwise, can DS tutor? Also, 20-30 hours per week seems like an insane requirement for essentially volunteer work for a full time high school student. Are you sure it isn't 20-30 hours of service total?
Yes, this is 20-30 hours/week. His classes are done in March so that he can do an internship. He kinda dropped the ball on getting the internship search going in the Fall. The school doesn't have any network to help. |
I might be able to help out, I run an organization that teaches coding to younger kids, please have him reach out to me and I should be able to help him.
What school requires an internship for graduation without helping kids obtain internships?
Basis?
NIST has a HS internship program. Deal has a robotics team that may need mentors.
Whichever internship you select, please make sure to choose one that is racially diverse and inclusive.
