Annabelle hydrangea in full sun?

| Will Annabelle hydrangeas tolerate full sun? I want to line the swimming pool with them but it’s hot full sun. Are they shade lovers? |

| I think they are sterile so not a good pollinator plant. I would select another variety like oak leaf of limelight. |

| No, they won’t be fine in full sun, unless you want to water twice a day during July-August. Go with a paniculata variety (limelight, little lime, strawberry sundae, etc.) for full sun. |

| thanks! i'll have to find something else. just not a fan of the shape of the panicle varieties haha. |

| I don't think the shape of the limelights are all that heavily panicle. You can barely tell and they do well in sun. |
