Doggy daycare at Petsmart - What would you expect?

Anonymous
So my DS and I were at Petsmart this morning watching the dogs in doggy daycare. There were about 12 dogs in a small enclosure not really doing anything at all. A single worker was with them, but she seemed uninterested in the dogs and would periodically spray them with a little water if they came near her.

Is this what you would expect at Petsmart? Do the dogs have a place to play outside? Most of the dogs looked fed up, and a couple just looked sad.

Yes that’s what I’d expect. Bottom of the barrel if you are desperate.

We made the mistake of boarding our dog at Petsmart. He got kennel cough and he was filthy and dehydrated when we picked him up early. The staff was scurrying around to get him out of the back area that they won't let you see. Never again.

I suspected as much. This was the Petsmart in Chantilly. Poor dogs!

They pay their staff minimum wage and require no credentials. It’s why I never recommend anyone go their for puppy classes. Doesn’t surprise me that daycare is the same.
