| I'm looking at great reviews for all the docs in Capitol Medical Group Adult Medicine, 8401 Connecticut Avenue, in my insurer's directory and a lone bad review on Yelp. Anybody have any experience with them? Thanks! |
| My husband likes them. I sent him your thread but he didn't respond, obviously. Not nice DH! |
| I won't object to a near-second-hand report! -OP |
| I like them. I see Martine Jasmine and she's great. Highly recommend. |

They've been our pediatrician for almost 14 years.
The main reason I joined them was they have a lactation consultant on staff and that was very helpful during those early months with both my kids. Some people don't like them because they are a HUGE practice, but that comes with some pluses. One, the LC on staff. Two, they do a drive through PCR test at the crack of dawn on weekdays and results are ready within about 4-7 hours, which has been awesome. It's also nice to have the adult care option - my husband has used them once and said it was fine. They also do a drive through flu clinic for the entire family every year which is really nice. It is ongoing for several weeks and so nice to zip on up and get it done without leaving the car. Again, the cons is that it's a huge practice and some people like the feel of a more intimate, smaller practice. |
| I see Dr Arling there. I have been very happy with him. |
| Thanks, everybody. I actually like the idea of a larger practice, since the one I go to is down to one doc and she can't keep up with the workload. At this point I'd be happy to have some of the advantages of a larger practice, as long as there are a couple/few doctors people like, which it sounds like there definitely are. |

I am thinking of joining them but Dr Arling isn't seeing new patients until January. Dr Jasmin got one good review here, but seems to have jumped around a bit from practice to practice, and has some negative reviews online. Finally, Dr Sayed is super young, but has good reviews. Can anyone else who goes there chime in? |
| I'm the original OP of this thread and I haven't yet managed to make an appointment with them, but thank you to the person who revived the thread. I should go ahead and make an appt. for the winter! Following with interest for any new reviews. |
| DH and I both go there and like them a lot (kids go to CMG - Peds). DH sees Dr. Arling and really likes him. I saw the NP for an annual; she was thorough and good, even if she wasn’t my favorite provider ever. |
Dr. Arlington is my doctor too. Very friendly and personable but I also feel like he doesn't really care about me. |
This was why we left the practice when my kids were little. Had no idea who we were. Made stupid gaffs like, "that would only matter if he had asthma." Uh, he had asthma. Etc. We were very lucky to find an excellent pediatrician who has his own practice, and knew who we were every time we went in. Also CMG charged for phone calls, charged for forms to be filled out -- our new pediatrician did not. |
| My husband and I both see Dr Arling. I think he’s good. I see the NP too and she’s very thorough and responsive. |
I agree with but I still go to him, and think he is fine. He seems competent and is very responsive to questions over the patient portal. I don’t need my primary care dr to really care about me though maybe I’d feel different if I had a chronic condition. |
| I like Dr. Arling a lot. Would highly recommend. My husband has seen Dr. Sayed and nothing but positives. |
