I also like books by Lianne Moriarty and Elin Hildebrand.
I’m giving my girls some incentives to read a lot this summer but I also want to set the right example by doing so myself. The books don’t have to be deep (but it’s also okay if they are if still interesting.) I’m currently reading the Book Thief which is taking me longer than I expected. |
| Kate Quinn is similar to Kristin Hannah, but less sappy I think. |

| This isn't quite the same - but I have been listening to the audiobook version of Remarkably Bright Creatures, and it's got a similar wholesomeness/pieces of a family story fitting together thing going on. It's also just a lovely book. |
| Reese’s Book Club and Read With Jenna (Bush Hager, from the Today Show) both have a lot of great recs that would fit the bill here. Reese also has a YA Book Club. |
| Nancy Thayer |
| I’d be amiss if I didn’t give a shout out to The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. It’s about a family who migrated to california during the dust bowl. It was really good. |
| I just read my first book by Kelly Rimmer this weekend (The Warsaw Orphan) and it’s similar in theme and style to The Nightingale. I looked up her other books because I enjoyed it and she seems to write in the same general vein - some WWII, some contemporary, but similar in style. |
Yes, I usually love her lists. Also love anything by Lisa jewell. |
