Is it weird to do this? Or does it make more sense than a February baby named June?
I've always loved the name and it was has significance for us, baby is due mid-June (we don't know gender) and June is my leading girl's name. A part of me think it's logical, so why not do it if I love the name? The other part thinks, will this be an annoying thing for her? |
| If I loved the name, I would do it. Doesn't matter what month she is born IMO. |
| I don’t know most people’s birthdays. So most people she meets will never know. |
+1 Love the name. |
| I vote go for it. |
| Better than my niece who is named Autumn....and born in May. |
| Too gimmicky. |
| I have a daughter named Summer born in spring! If you love the name go for it! If it’s not to out there for you maybe consider Juniper, wish I had named my June born daughter this as we needed a name with an “er” in it and I love June as a name and it could have been a nickname! |
| My grandmother’s name! She hated it and thought it was a hick name, so it’s funny to see it as a fresh new name. I think it’s okay to be born in June and named June, but somehow it also seems unimaginative, like that’s the only name you could think of. |
| I love this name and think it’s perfect for a June baby. |
Most people she meets will ask, since her name is June. |
Nonsense. |
| June born in June makes more sense than June born in a different month, unless June is just a nickname for a name like Juno or Juniper. |
I kind of agree. PP says they don't know most people's birthdays, but the flipside of that is if you have a month name, people's first question will be whether you were born that month. If it is a family name I'd use it and ignore the coincidence. But if it's just a name you like, I'd try to name her Juniper or Jane or something and not give her what feels like an inside joke as a name. |
| Alex Honold has a February baby named June. Is that where you got the name from? |
