SGF versus out of state (RMA NJ)

Hi all! I've done one round of egg retrieval at CCRM VA, resulting in one PGT-A normal embroyo. We're get grateful for this (especially at age 40); but given that we starter with an AFC of 20 and only 6 eggs were retrieved & 5 matured, we can't help but feel it was a sun optimal result. Dr. Payson was great but the front & back office and more importantly the nurses added a lot of stress and confusion. I've heard SHF is a factory, but honestly CCRM VA just felt like a money grab. We know that we went to consider another place. I consulted with MANY doctors. Loved Dr. Sharara but he doesn't take insurance. At SGF, I've spoken to Dr O'Brien (she's great but was also recommending a conservative protocol) and will consult with Dr. Doyle tomorrow. After Dr.Sharara, I've really liked Dr. Molinaro at RMA NJ. He actually was willing to consider variations to protocol to try to get more eggs, rather then just say "1 is lucky and great at 40." Really want to have a successful next cycle since it's the last that insurance will cover and we wanted at least 2-3 more PGT-A normal embroyos before transfer. My friend said that RMA NJ and doing everything remote isn't worth it bc SGF is good enough. Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on whether they've selected SGF for convenience over out of state options and why. Thanks in advance!!!

Have you looked at cfa? They're disorganized but I find it more personalized, / less factory like sgf

OP:
I haven't! I've gone by the fertility IQ reviews. Had a consult with SGF, Dr Sharara and CCRM VA locally, and then Cornell and RMA NJ in our states. I did have a consult with Dr. Aimee (the egg whisperer - who's awesome on YouTube!) scheduled, but cancelled bc realized California is too far away and she doesn't take insurance.

The disorganization really stresses me out! So CFA may not be the best fit. For SHF, Dr. O'Brien 's nurse has been so amazing so far!!

RMA NJ is really where I'm finding both personalization, efficiency, follow thru and care - but it's just thru the consult and baseline phases.

The thing I prefer about cfa is that you see your dr at every Monroeville appointment and iui, and strong chance they're the one for your retrieval. I did a consult at sgf but it seemed like that was the list time I'd see my dr.

The lab was most important to me. So Shady grove was where I went. Also Cornell has a great lab if you’re going out of state.

Hi! Was this at CVRM VA? that's awesome - love hearing this did you have Dr. Payson and if so, did they change a lot in the second attempt?
