New AirPod Pros "click" a lot

I just bought AirPod Pros...and the left piece makes a clicking noise a lot. I read that it could be a software update issue and to un-pair/re-pair them, which I've done, but every damn time I put them in my ears, click, click, click.
Has anyone run into this issue, and if so, what are the solutions? |

I have Pros that are less than 6 mo the old and no issues.
Sounds like it might be a defect. I’d definitely head to the nearest Apple store and see what they say. |
