| I’d love recs for any relatively recent well done spy movies or shows. Thanks! |
| Wasn’t The Night Manager just perfect? I haven’t found anything like it but would also be interested. |

If you have Apple TV, we’ve been watching Slow Horses and are very into it. The characters are MI5, the inside-the-UK spies, but there are some similarities in feel.
Have you seen Bodyguard and Line of Duty? Both are a bit different in feel from Night Manager but kind of scratch a similar itch. DH and I love that type of show, and those are two of our favorites. Ooh, wait, no, actually I have a winner! Think you need HBO for it, but Little Drummer Girl was great and very similar in both story and feel. (The recent-ish one with Florence Pugh, not the 70s movie.) |

Broadchurch
Bodyguard Both British shows. Both great. |

The 2011 version of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy." That's the feature film with Gary Oldman--not a series. Also from a John LeCarre novel. Fantastic cast, very understated like the good spy stuff so often is, just brilliant. --from another fan of "The Night Manager," and my spouse is a LeCarre nut who has seen 'em all (and read 'em all), and he loved this version of "Tinker, Tailor" too |
| Bumping this up because I was just gonna ask the same question! |
| The Diplomat with Kerri Russell was pretty good. Assuming you already saw Homeland and The Americans. |
| Yes to Slow Horses and Bodyguard. Soooo good. |
| In addition to many of the shows mentioned already, Tehran on Apple TV. |
|
+1 for slow horses
Vigil was pretty good too |

If you can find it, the series Spooks (which I think was released in the US as MI5), you’ll find a lot of actors you recognise like Matthew Macfadyen, Richard Armitage, Nicola Walker. There were around 10 seasons
Also in French - Le Bureau. Probably my favourite tv series ever |
