High-quality hairdryer recommendations

Anonymous
My Babylisss is about to die. I've got long, thick hair and use a hairdryer almost every day. I'm looking for a high-quality hairdryer that will dry my hair as quickly as possible, without frying it to a crisp of course. I usually use it with the concentrator attachment, if that makes any difference. I'd like to keep it under $100 but I'm willing to invest more for a really good dryer. Recommendations?

I think this poster means Super Solano X, which is a good one. Also, search this forum. There are periodic threads on hairdryers.

Oops -- yes, I meant the Super Solano X.

Wow...I had no idea hair dyers needed to be quality. Seriously, does this make a difference?

That $90 saves me minutes off my morning routine plus the end result is better (less frizz). But if you have thin hair, maybe it doesn't matter as much.

I just bought a conair ionic hair dryer (my daughter took my old one) at target for under $20 and it is great. It straightens my hair so much better and is relatively quiet. I think it dries hair differently - can't recall but it does make a difference. I read the reviews on target.com and that was a huge help.

I also have a Conair Ionic hair dryer - about $20. While it works fine, it is heavy to hold for long periods of time. I plan on purchasing another one that is lighter - for more money.

A high-quality hairdryer makes a HUGE difference. It really does. It saves drying time, makes your hair look better, and is more comfortable to use. If you've got short hair that takes 5 minutes to dry it may not make as dramatic of a difference, but for long hair it's so worth it to invest in a decent one.

I love my CHI Rocket. It dries and straightens my curly shoulder length hair in 10 minutes tops. My hair is very healthy and I dry it every day. It also as an excellent warranty. yes, quality does make a difference in hair dryers.

22:36 here. Maybe that's why my hair breaks off easily...I have had the same hair dryer for like 15 years.
Going out tomorrow to get a new one, thanks Ladies!

OP, what didn't you like about your Babyliss dryer? I've been thinking of getting one to replace my Bespoke dryer, which burned out in less than a year, so would like to hear about your experience.
