Need help thinking this through. I graduate last week of May and will hopefully/probably start a job in NYC between Aug - Sept 1. I have flexibility but my current Boston landlord is asking for a move out date (between May and Aug 31). June & July will be spent mostly traveling with family. If I move out of Boston apartment I have places to stay until I get in the NYC apartment (parents live in Bethesda). I'm assuming I move out of Boston apartment end of May and stuff goes to storage until NCY lease starts? And I'll look into getting movers. Any other ideas or suggestions?
Any recs for movers and storage units in South End? thanks |
| I would get a PODs and then have it redelivered to nyc. Be sure you are up on whatever move in rules your new place has as far as dates/times allowed, reserving elevators, etc. It was cut throat in the first building I lived in when i was your age if you needed to move end of or beginning of the month. Good luck |
Thanks! |
| Your mover may be able to also store stuff. We did this when we moved to DC and our house contract fell through—we just paid them extra per month to hold it. |
Isn't PODS a storage and moving company? Or does this vary by location? |
