Hi everyone. My favorite type of cardio is running, but on off days from running, I use the arc trainers and ellipticals at the gym. I've had a lot of trouble finding shoes that have enough cushioning so my feet don't hurt from the repetitive up-and-down motion. (The motion is different from the front-to-back you get while running.) Normally I'm a "stability" shoe wearer for running. I do about 30 minutes of Arc/Elliptical 3-4 times a week and I'm 5'8"/140/size 10 shoes.
I bought a pair of Asics cross-training shoes and they are HORRIBLE, which is too bad because I love my Asics Kayano running shoes and my Asics trail running shoes. I'm currently trying some Nike "cushioning" running shoes, but the problem is still there. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
| no suggestions? bummer. (bump.) |

Hi I do the elliptical and also zumba and step aerobics in these shoes:
http://www.holabirdsports.com/m/Shoes-Women/Cross-Training-Shoes_Women/Reebok/p1.htm The ones on the right. The website is fast shipping I think it's in Baltimore. Nice side to side support and comfortable too. I also walk/jog in them. I'm glad you posted this, my fave shoe is on closeout going to order 2 pairs. |
| Thanks, 13:51. I'll have to check out sporting goods stores to maybe see how the Reeboks fit me, since I haven't worn them since high school! When you're a distance runner, shoes are SO important and I've tried brands and models that just don't fit my foot at all, and returning shoes online can be such a pain. |
