Boy U9 options for 2022 fall in Springfield?

Anonymous
Assuming we continue with soccer past this year, what are the best options for U9 boys?
Cost is a factor but also the time commitment involved. We would love to do a winter or spring sport but haven’t because of the DA commitment.
SYC is $800 for the year for fall, winter and spring. But with the weather, we have never played the days out fully. I see SCAA has a Development program. And it’s only $125 a session. Wondering if this is a better option to transition to instead of a travel team. Thanks.

BRYC U9 academy was only $545 for the Fall21/Spring22 season. That doesn't count uniforms or tournaments.

Come check out SCAA. My DS plays on the current u9 team (2013s) and has a super dedicated coach. Smaller club but with some dedicated coaches/parents. One of our coaches is also running a 2014/2015 training sessions for the full season. Not sure what they plan for competitive games etc.

Depending on where you are in Springfield, Alexandria could be an option.

Scaa has some great coaches. They really know your kid. Good place to develop as a young player on the boys side. Also really good fields, which is definitely something to consider.
Team America is ok, but I didn't love the coaching.

Don’t go to BRYC. Terrible program.

BAC is also not far from Springfield and often has a developmental focus at the younger ages. BRYC is a train wreck.

At the younger ages, the smaller clubs in the area are good for player development. SYC is a big club. It is really coach dependent - we have had a wonderful experience, but others may have a different one depending on the coach/level.
If you are interested in a small club like SCAA, I would email them. They will let you come practice - even over the winter. It makes a huge difference when it comes to determining whether it is the right fit.
Biggest thing is finding a coach that is really focused on developing your kid and location.

Key word is development. At U9 find the right fit that develops, maintains enthusiasm and has coach engagement.

Samba Boyz will develop your player by beating his team 22-0 at halftime
